Kerin is a 24 year old graduate student studying sports management. She became interested in sneakers when her friend got her into reselling to make some extra cash in college. She shies away from sporty shoes and favors sneakers such as Converse and Vans.

Iris is a 28 year old from Northeast Washington, D.C. She is currently a student and an employee at a sneaker boutique in Georgetown. A self-proclaimed "Nike girl," Iris has been interested in shoes her whole life, but really began to collect after starting to work at her shoe store. Her favorite models are the Blazer and SB.

"If I’m talking to people about why I like a shoe and I tell them the history of the shoe, why it’s important to me, why I appreciate this shoe, they’re like ‘Ok, that’s not my style but I respect that.’ There’s also just being able to talk to people from different places and different ages who can tell you something different about a shoe as well. It’s a learning community; just talking to people in the sneaker community helps me learn more about different shoes."
